Gale DBs Slow to Respond / Back to Normal

Hi Folks, 

This morning a school librarian reported having problems accessing a Gale database. I reached out to Gale tech support, and they indicated that they are currently experiencing some technical issues with the Gale resources. According to them, all Gale resources are still accessible. However end users may experience some slowness in pages loading. The issue is also affecting some images, including database icons and branding. Gale’s system teams are aware and working to resolve the issues. 

FYI, Gale has a status indicator at the top right of their national support site. Currently it is yellow and indicates “issues.”

I’ll post again when I receive an update from Gale. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Folks, 

I just heard from Gale tech support that “the resources are now loading as expected.” I tried to access a Gale database from OSLIS, and all worked as expected. 

If you are experiencing problems, please clear your cache. If that doesn’t help, please let me know. 

FYI, the database status indicator at the top right of the Gale national support site is currently green and indicates “operating normally."
