Gale DBs Having Intermittent Technical Issues // Issues Resolved

Hi, 

I just received this alert from staff at Gale: 

I wanted to let you know that the Gale resources are currently having issues where users may get a Technical Difficulties page. Our team of Development Engineers are working to resolve this as quickly as possible and I will reach back out when we have been given the all clear that things are back working as expected.

Right now I was able to successfully access a Gale database from OSLIS, but some users may run into problems. I’ll post again when I’m notified that the issue is resolved. 

FYI, Gale’s national support website shows the status of databases. Usually there’s a green circle at the top right of the page indicating that everything is working fine. Right now, the circle is yellowish-brown, and there is a note about intermittent issues. (Be aware, though, that sometimes it can take a bit before Gale updates the status to reflect issues. Likely some staff first do testing to see if new issues can be resolved fairly quickly.)
