Update: The issue was resolved early in the morning of 8/29/19. If you are still getting an error message when you access a Gale database, try clearing your browser's cache. Thanks.

Hi Folks,

There are issues with the Gale geolocation server again, which means that the Gale links on OSLIS are not working. Instead of a 404 error message like last week, there is a “can’t open file” message. 

Sorry about the trouble. It’s not an OSLIS issue; it’s a Gale issue. 

Right now I added the temporary database access point to the top of the elementary and secondary Find Information pages on OSLIS again. Look for the red text. I made the note bigger this time because it was overlooked last week.   

I will post again and remove the temporary access point once the Gale servers are working again. Because I will be an all-day meeting on Thursday, I may not be able to announce that the issue has been resolved, if it has, until Friday.
