Conference for All School Library Staff: OSLIS Session, Gale Training, Awesome Authors, & More

The Oregon Association of School Libraries (OASL) hosts an annual fall conference. It's for anyone who works in a school library, teachers, and anyone else who is interested. This year, like most, there will be a session to catch up on OSLIS and two to learn about the Gale databases. One of the Gale slots is aimed at staff in elementary schools, and the other is for secondary; both will be led by a trainer from Gale.

The conference is always on the second full weekend in October to coincide with the statewide inservice day. This year's event will be at Summit High School in Bend on October 14th and 15th. You do not have to be an OASL member to attend, but members receive a discount on the registration cost.

Maybe your principal or district will help pay your way, especially since there are not a lot of in-state PD opportunities for school library folks.

Please help spread the word. I hope to see you there!

Thanks,
Jen
