Tips to Help You Navigate the NEW OSLIS 2.0

View the OSLIS 2.0 Tutorials

Remember that if you can't relocate files from the previous OSLIS website, they are still available at http://old.oslis.org

1. EBSCO resources and Citation Maker have NOT CHANGED. Any folders you had in EBSCO products in the past will still be there!

2. To eliminate some of the scrolling issues, view EBSCO resources FULL SCREEN, please use the http link at the top of the EBSCO screen you open.

3. Registration is not required but is encouraged. Be sure to register from the appropriate user site:  elementary, secondary or one of the educator ones. Don't register from this main oslis.org page to be sure that you are delivered the correct files.

4. Monitors set on LOW resolution may have problems with the site.  You may find that you have to scroll to use the Resources as the screen won't fit within the window it is given.  Please set monitors at MEDIUM or HIGH resolution or 1024 X768 minimum.

5. OSLIS 2.0 content focus now is on the student rather than the teacher.  You will find all of the resources from the original OSLIS 2.0 website have been migrated and reorganized.  We have added additional content to cover the full spectrum of a research project. We have also kept the Resources links in the same location.

6. OSLIS 2.0 has the option for you to REGISTER.  Registration allows you additional capabilities and resources including the ability to create your own folder and store items like Citations, images, documents, PPTs, etc. as well as to share them with other users and then access from home, school, etc.  While it is NOT necessary to register to use any of the resources on the OSLIS website, we encourage registration to enhance your OSLIS 2.0 experience.

7. PROBLEMS?   Some of your Internet bookmarks may have forwarding links, for others you may need to search. Use of the SEARCH box at the top right. We tried to keep the name of files the same.

8. On the new website if you notice any problems, please use the FEEDBACK link also on the top right of the screen.  Your help with improving the website will be greatly appreciated!

9. Information about OSLIS 2.0 is now located at the top right of the screen as well as information about Support for the OSLIS site for all users.

10. OSLIST's announcement archive is found in the Support area too.

Enjoy!
